More Canadian Expansion/Relocation Plans?

This is just plain old piling on. I'm not on the up and up of this particular situation, but it looks dead on serious. A "mystery" group claims to have $1 Billion dollars in their war chest to bring another team...to Toronto?!? Now that's fundraising, eat your heart out Obama.

There was a press release issued by this group with some details, but certainly nothing more than further details at a press conference tomorrow at 11 A.M. We are in for a good time! But don't worry Long Island, a spokesman had this to say...

“It’s a completely separate item,” a spokesperson for the new group said Thursday. “It’s about an expansion team. It has nothing to do with any type of relocation of that nature. And it’s for the 2012-13 season.”

Apparently tomorrow's conference will put on a grand display of arena plans, jerseys, and logos for a new Toronto team. What do you think; are we getting Toronto Two and Las Vegas in 2012-2013?

Personally I rather feel for Bettman at this point. Poor guy has to deal with Balsillie, a down economy, all kinds of criticism, and now this. I don't envy the bastard.
