Calgary's Best

So last night, after an extremely pain in the ass day of traveling, delays, etc I finally got on the ground in Hotlanta for work. Driving to the hotel, I turned on NHL HomeIce and was listening to the Tampa Bay vs. Calgary game. What a game.

I can't say listening to any team besides your favorite is exciting on the radio...but this one was one I couldn't seem to turn off. For one, at some point in the 2nd period, there was a goal every min for like 6 minutes. Crazy.

What made it better? Well Calgary's best player in franchise history officially became the Flames all time scorer last night with a stellar 5 point night (2 G/3 A).
Iginla broke Theoren Fleury's franchise record for points, ending the night with a total of 834 pints in 922 games. To add to the celebration, Iginla also tallied his 400th career goal 14 seconds into the 3rd period.

Only thing that would have made the night better for the Captain would have been a win for the Flames...but they fell 8-6 to the Lightning in a crazy one.

Congrats to Jarome Iginla, a man who is certainly deserving of all the recognition and awards that come his way.

Peep the highlights. Definitely worth it.
