Satan Benched for Tonight...

Hmmmmm this one is a little odd. According to Penguins.com, Satan is not going to be in the lineup tonight. Below is direct from the site.
With Pittsburgh playing on back-to-back nights, only five Penguins were required to partake in Wednesday's morning skate.

The players that participated were forwards Miroslav Satan and Ruslan Fedotenko, defensemen Sergei Gonchar and Philippe Boucher and goaltender Mathieu Garon.

Penguins head coach Michel Therrien confirmed that Satan will not be in the lineup for Pittsburgh in its matchup with the Tampa Bay Lightning at Mellon Arena at 7:30 p.m.

Therrien would not divulge how Satan's absence will affect the lineup or reveal the line combinations, saying only that those moves will be "game-time decisions."
Should this raise some eyebrows? Well...I didn't see the game last night, so unless he got hurt then I say Yes. The knee jerk reaction part of me thinks this...Satan is on his way out. Either via trade or waivers. The "Therrien is just a f-stick" part of me thinks this is just a message for him to get his ass in gear.

Do I give a shit? Not really. His laziness and attitude far outweigh his skill-set and ability to fill the net with anything besides shittyness. What sucks is that well...the Penguins suck...and Satan is still one of the "better" players on the team...does removing him from the lineup really give the Pens more stability...or even a better chance of winning?

I feel like there's a lot more to this than just a benching though. Shero has to be breathing down Therrien's neck...the next few weeks should be fun.
