Sabres V Leafs: The Return Home
Blogger:

After their one day off (even though they spent most of it on a cross country charter flight) the Sabres take on a defeated, Tomas Kaberle-less Leafs squad, who gave up 3 unanswered goals to the Panthers, and subsequently lost in OT last night. This will be the 1st of a 4 game roadie for the Leafs, while 5 of the next 6 Sabres game are in Buffalo. So far this year both teams have won the away contests, this marks game #3 between the two teams.
As for game notes...Teppo Numminen is back in the lineup, apparently broken jaws only need a week and a half to heal properly. Marc Andre Gragnani, who filled in admirably in his stead, was sent back to Portland...Jochen Hecht and Tallinder both practiced, but both are still doubtful for tonight...Ryan Miller got his break and he's back in net for the Sabres, while Justin Pogge, the future, has been recalled and will be in net for the Leafs.
These "Border War" games always turn out to be pretty exciting with a lot of back and forth action. The Sabres cannot, I repeat, cannot, overlook the Leafs tonight. The Panthers are now only down 1 point (thanks Leafs) and Carolinas only down 2. Plus the Pens have the Lightning so they'll more than likely be moving up (if they don't win, look for the hatchet to fall on Therrien's chubby neck). The Sabres have an opportunity here as well, with Boston and Philly playing, they can move within 2 points of the Flyers for 6th.
All I have for mockery are these two images, which I think speaks volumes to the state of the Leaf's post-John Ferguson Jr and Cliff Fletcher era.
Let's Go Buff-a-Lo.
Oh shit I forgot, all games tonight will be free via the NHL GameCenter racket. You register and create a username, etc. and you should be ready to go. If not, well there's always atdhe.
