Kyle Turris Demoted, then Bitch Slapped
Another high profile pick, another demotion to the minors.
We've seen Sbisa sent back to Juniors, Stamkos to the press box, and now Turris gets the "We're risking your development playing sparing minutes on the 4th line" treatment. At least Stamkos got to keep his dignity.
This isn't necessarily a surprising move by the 'Yotes, 16 points and -12 in 50 games isn't exactly lighting the lamp. But shouldn't we be looking at the fact he decided to forgo Wisconsin, a shot at Gold in the WJC's, straight from Junior A's. Isn't that technically hindering your development? Instead you're gonna kill his mental game with a demotion, nice. Alexandre Daigle? Patrick Stefan? Anyone?
