When It Rains...
Blogger:

Not to mention the "Powerplay". A full 2 minute 5 on 3 on top of the 4 min double minor that was already assessed. Awful. Rob Rossi of the Pittsburgh Tribune did all the hard work and got the numbers...and they make me want to drink my own urine.
Since Dec 6: The Pen's PP has gone 12 - 71, 16.9%, during their wonderful 4-11-0 stretch of games. My favorite is the last number...0 for their last 32

The PK hasn't been any better. Killing penalties only 79% of the time...64 of 81 in the past 15 games.
It's not like there haven't been chances. In fact, last night's game was a prime example of how special teams can win/lose games. If their PP is hot, they win. It wasn't, and the Rags shit all over them.
Also to comment on the suggestion of Therrien's Termination. I don't see Shero firing Therrien anytime soon, but I wouldn't be opposed to the idea IF things continue to stay this way...he's lost all control. The Pens would have to eat his contract, however, but taking a Stanley Cup contending team and running them into the ground won't fly with Shero or 66. That being said, I do, however, feel that players will start being moved very soon.
