Sabres Win; Pens Fans Angry

3:24 left in the game, Panthers tie it. 7 seconds later, I get an IM from Denson, who lives just next door, "oh come on. you can't help the Pens. mother $#@%er." Nope, we can't. Why? Every man for himself.

The Panther's are a sneaky team. They employ a ferocious forecheck, led by the young and at times dominant, David Booth. They have a set of talented offensive defensemen, led by the young and at times dominant, Jay Bouwmeester as well as the underrated Keith Ballard. I'm not even going to talk about McCabe, we know what he brings to the table, or Nate Horton (Darcy, please try to get this guy outta Florida). I was pleasantly surprised, and sometimes very impressed with their play. Barring injuries, or an asinine trade, I don't see them falling off.

However as well as they played, they are simply atrocious in the shootout. Only took 2 shooters to get that formality out of the way. Roy finishes the game off once again.

- David Booth is young and very talented, quite an impressive showing. His penalty shot goal in the 1st was pretty.
- Vanek finally got another one, his first in 5 or 6 games. Played in the dirty areas and got it done.
- Miller is now 7-1 with a GAA of 2.00 in 2009. It just seems like the more he's on the ice the better he gets.
- I would take Horton, Booth, Frolik, Bouwmeester, and Ballard any day.
