Sabres No Longer Have a Blueline Problem
Blogger:

Well in 3 games time the Sabres have lost 2 men: Andrej Sekera and Teppo Numminen. Sekera will be out for a couple weeks with an ankle injury sustained at Chicago, while last night Teppo took a shot to the face, and just today underwent surgery for a broken jaw. Nathan Paetsch will get back into the lineup.
On another note, did anyone else see the Pierre McGuire and Mike Milbury exchange during the 1st intermission of today's Pens/Rags game? It was lunacy. They were debating fighting's role in the league today. McGuire was against it, Milbury for.

Personally, I feel fighting has a definite role in the game. The Valabik example is a good one. Without fighting, some no talent ass clown goes after your skill players, if they defend themselves, they're off the ice for at least 5 minutes, if they don't they get goaded and beat up on. With fighting, your Godard's, Peter's, or Orr's take care of it.
I think most people who aren't merely casual fans (you know the drunk guy screaming "beat his ass!" after every check), share my opinion. McGuire? Weak sauce pansy.
