Pronger Rubbing Off on Perry
Uber-rookie Claude Giroux (20 years old, 33 points in 31 games in the AHL) gets clocked by Anaheim Duck Corey Perry. It's kind of reminiscent of the Chris Neil hit on Drury that knocked him senseless a few years back, minus the blatant elbow.
Coming from the blind side on an offensive rush, Giroux is obviously not looking for that, let alone the elbow cracking him upside his face.
Perry has been suspended 4 games for this...Yes, that's right...For those of you keeping track at home, the NHL believes that an egregious blindside elbow to the face of another player is worth 2 games less than the term "sloppy seconds". Bettman, you are my favorite.
