Panic Mode
I'm not going to dissect every game the Pens lost while I was in LA, I've seen the highlights, you've seen the games, we all know they are complete shit right now. Not even Crosby or Malkin can carry the rest of the team. Fleury and Sabu are playing like garbage, and I wouldn't be opposed to pulling up Curry again, maybe a wakeup call to the other two to get their shit together. Zigomanis has been placed on IR, so that doesn't help either. If they find themselves .500 by the end of this week, look for some MAJOR shake ups/trades.
Pen's play the Rangers tonight on Versus. I'm sick of saying "oh well they are pissed so they'll come out flying and win tonight" because...well...they are still pissed and still losing. They are so OVER excited and energized they are making stupid ass mistakes...also, the goalies are letting up goals a Pee Wee goalie should stop. Oh well.
Prediction tonight? Pens and Rags have each dropped 4 of their last 5..soooo eh...4-3 Pens in OT. NOT A SHOOTOUT...cause they'll lose then.
Lastly, I'll mention the Crosby fight briefly...which was also hilarious. He jumps McCleane, gets in a few uppercuts, and somewhere in there splits his nose. Now you can say all you want to how it was a "cheap-shot" and whatever, which it looks like, but according to Sid he asked McLean if he wanted to go and apparently Sid thought he acknowledged it, but McLean said he didn't hear exactly what Crosby said. Whatever. So...confusion on both parts led to more hilariousness.

Actually Sid...it was 19...things are bad when the Pens can't even add.
