I Can't Help Where I Was Born

Now think back when you were a kid, back when you were first brainwashed by your parents to root for who they liked. Each and every Yinzer is born and bred to love anything in the colors of black and gold. In Philly you can mugged for walking around in a Giants jersey. In Boston, blue and white pinstripes equate Lucifer.

Well I kind of grew up in Flyer's territory, mostly because Comcast Philly broadcasted out to Hershey. But as people know somewhere in the early 90's, due to Super Nintendo and EA Sports, I became a Sabres fan.

There is some evidence that at one time I rooted for the Flyers, albeit few and far between. But as a kid that age, 7-8, aside from a jersey, there was always one thing I wanted when I went to hockey games: the mini hockey stick.

Every kid has atleast one mini hockey stick, I have tons: Sabres, Flyers, Hershey Bears. But these 3, no matter your opinion of the Flyers are pretty cool. No, thats not a real autograph, yes, they're beat up cause I played with them. I don't really have much to say today, nor is this particularly funny, I just wanted to share.

I'm just glad the Lindros mini hockey stick wasn't as fragile as the real Lindros.
