NATE GERBE RECALLED!

I would write more, but as it is, I'm so hungover that it's physically impossible for this to happen. Anyway, Nate Gerbe has been called up from Portland and will be joining the ranks in Tampa. Marc Mancari will be sent back down to the Pirates, after registering 1 + 1 in 7 games. I'll have a preview later.

I lied, I won't have a preview for tonight's game. I'm too tired and groggy.

But this is awesome, from Paul Hamilton at WGR.
Nathan Gerbe will play his first National Hockey League game tonight in Tampa. He arrived while practice was going on this morning. The players stopped their drill and tapped their sticks on the ice as he skated out.

Ballin. I hope the teams as excited as I am about tonight.

I wrote about that stretch being a defining stretch, well winning 2 of 3 from the good teams won't mean shit if we don't take care of the teams we should be, aka Panthers, Bolts, etc.

Gerbe had 14 goals and 10 assists in 21 games, Mancari was a casualty of the waiver rules, now who does Gerbe play with? Put him with Vanek Roy? Or do we ease him in on the 3rd line and see how adapts to the big time? Tonight is important, no doubt. Plus a little glimpse at the future. Pretty cool.

By the way, Montreal sucks balls, had to get that in there.

Also, banginpanger.com still isn't up on the servers, so keep coming to the blogspot URL, I'll let everyone know when it gets rockin.
